Job Description
DAC Developers Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced QA/QC Engineer with 5–10 years of experience in the real estate and construction industry. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring quality standards are maintained throughout construction activities and that all works comply with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor QA/QC procedures at project sites.
- Inspect civil construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
- Conduct quality inspections for RCC, reinforcement, masonry, plastering, waterproofing, tiling, flooring, painting, and finishing works.
- Prepare and maintain ITP, Method Statements, Inspection Checklists, WIR, MIR, NCR, and quality reports.
- Monitor the quality of construction materials and verify relevant test certificates.
- Coordinate concrete testing, cube tests, slump tests, and other material tests.
- Identify quality issues, defects, and non-conformities and ensure timely corrective action.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Consultants, Architects, Contractors, and Vendors regarding quality-related matters.
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality audits.
- Ensure proper closure of NCRs, observations, snags, and defects.
- Carry out snagging and de-snagging inspections before project handover.
- Maintain complete QA/QC documentation and records.
- Ensure construction activities comply with applicable IS Codes and project quality standards.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Civil Construction QA/QC.
- Good knowledge of RCC, concrete, reinforcement, masonry, plastering, waterproofing, and finishing works.
- Knowledge of ITP, WIR, MIR, NCR, Method Statements, and Inspection Checklists.
- Good understanding of IS Codes and construction standards.
- Ability to read and understand civil/structural drawings.
- Good knowledge of construction material testing and inspection procedures.
- Strong documentation and reporting skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and Excel.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD will be an added advantage.
Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering preferred.
- Diploma in Civil Engineering with relevant experience may also be considered.
Experience
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in QA/QC.
- Experience in real estate, residential, apartment, villa, commercial, or high-rise construction projects is preferred.
- Candidates with Chennai project/site experience will be preferred.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Strong site inspection and quality control experience.
- Good knowledge of construction materials and workmanship standards.
- Ability to identify and resolve quality issues.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good coordination with site teams, contractors, and consultants.
- Willingness to work at construction project sites in Chennai.
