Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Manual Tester to join our Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate should have 1–2 years of experience in software testing and possess strong knowledge of testing processes, defect identification, test case execution, and quality assurance practices.
The candidate will be responsible for ensuring software quality by designing test scenarios, executing test cases, reporting defects, and collaborating with development teams to deliver reliable software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze software requirements and prepare test scenarios and test cases.
- Perform manual testing of web and mobile applications.
- Execute functional, regression, smoke, and sanity testing.
- Identify, document, and track software defects using bug-tracking tools.
- Verify bug fixes and perform re-testing to ensure issue resolution.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and project teams to resolve defects.
- Maintain testing documentation and prepare test execution reports.
- Participate in requirement reviews and provide testing feedback.
- Ensure applications meet quality standards before product release.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in manual software testing.
- Good understanding of SDLC and STLC processes.
- Strong knowledge of software testing concepts and methodologies.
- Experience in creating test cases, test scenarios, and defect reports.
- Familiarity with defect tracking tools such as Jira or similar platforms.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and database testing is preferred.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman.
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodology.
- Experience in testing web-based and mobile applications.
- Knowledge or hands-on experience in Automation Testing (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, or similar tools) will be considered an added advantage.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
