Job Summary:
The BDA is responsible for providing academic advising and support to students, helping them navigate their educational paths, and ensuring they meet their academic goals. This role involves working collaboratively with students, faculty, and staff to enhance the overall academic experience and promote student success.
Duties:-
- Identifying profitable business opportunities
- Conducting extensive market research
- Creating actionable business strategies
- Nurturing relationships with clients
- Analyzing market trends
- Tracking business performance
- Allocating and managing the company’s resources
Key Responsibilities:
Academic Advising: Provide one-on-one and group advising sessions to assist students with course selection, degree requirements, and academic policies.
Monitoring Progress: Track student progress and academic performance, providing interventions and support as needed.
Workshops and Programs: Develop and facilitate workshops on study skills, time management, and career planning.
Resource Coordination: Connect students with appropriate resources, including tutoring, mental health services, and career counseling.
Collaboration: Work with faculty and staff to identify students in need of additional support and create strategies to enhance student retention and success.
Policy Communication: Stay informed about academic policies and changes, communicating relevant information to students effectively.
Qualifications:
Education: Should have a degree.
Experience: Previous experience in academic advising, academic counseling, sales or a related field preferred.
Skills:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Knowledge of academic programs and resources available to students.
Proficiency in data management and student information systems.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
