Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and 3 to 5 years experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the performance of CNC, VMC, and HMC machines. The candidate will be responsible for preventive and breakdown maintenance, ensuring maximum machine uptime, improving equipment reliability, and supporting production with minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of CNC, VMC, and HMC machines.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults in machine tools and related equipment.
- Inspect and maintain spindle assemblies, ball screws, linear guideways, bearings, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Carry out alignment, leveling, backlash checks, and machine geometry verification.
- Replace worn or damaged mechanical components to restore machine performance.
- Perform lubrication system inspection and maintenance.
- Coordinate with electrical maintenance engineers for electro-mechanical troubleshooting.
- Analyze recurring machine failures and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain maintenance logs, machine history, and spare parts records.
- Ensure machine safety devices and interlocks are functioning properly.
- Plan and execute Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC) activities when required.
- Support machine installation, commissioning, relocation, and calibration.
- Monitor machine performance and recommend improvements to increase equipment reliability.
- Maintain inventory of mechanical spare parts and consumables.
- Follow TPM, 5S, Kaizen, and preventive maintenance practices.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of CNC, VMC, and HMC machine construction and operation.
- Expertise in hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Knowledge of spindle repair, ball screw replacement, linear guide maintenance, and lubrication systems.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and maintenance manuals.
- Experience in machine alignment and precision measurement.
- Familiarity with TPM, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and Preventive Maintenance.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Certification in CNC Maintenance or Industrial Maintenance is an added advantage.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
