An Industrial Solar Consultant helps commercial and industrial clients evaluate, design, and implement solar power solutions that reduce energy costs and improve sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in the industrial and commercial (C&I) solar market.
- Meet with prospective clients to understand their energy consumption, business needs, and project requirements.
- Conduct site assessments and collect technical data for feasibility studies.
- Analyze electricity bills and prepare energy savings and ROI calculations.
- Recommend suitable rooftop or ground-mounted solar solutions based on client requirements.
- Prepare and deliver technical and commercial proposals, presentations, and quotations.
- Coordinate with engineering, design, and project execution teams to develop optimized solutions.
- Negotiate commercial terms and close sales contracts.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, EPC partners, and key stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and government policies related to solar projects.
- Stay updated on solar technologies, market trends, financing options, and government incentives.
- Support clients throughout the project lifecycle, from initial consultation to commissioning and after-sales service.
- Maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities, and sales activities in CRM systems.
Required Skills:
- Strong understanding of industrial/commercial solar PV systems.
- Knowledge of electricity tariffs, net metering, and energy analysis.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to perform financial analysis, including payback period and ROI calculations.
- Familiarity with solar design concepts and project execution processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM tools.
- Problem-solving and customer relationship management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Energy Engineering, or a related field, MBA Preferrable.
- Experience in C&I solar sales, consulting, or EPC projects.
- Knowledge of local solar regulations, DISCOM processes, and renewable energy policies.
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
