Power BI and Fabric :
Highly skilled Power BI & Microsoft Fabric Developer with 4–5 years of Power BI experience and hands-on expertise in Microsoft Fabric. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in building high-performance semantic models, optimizing large-scale datasets, and implementing efficient data refresh strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports
Build and optimize semantic models (datasets) using best practices like star schema and dimensional modeling
Develop end-to-end analytics solutions using Microsoft Fabric, including Lakehouse & OneLake, Fabric Pipelines, Notebooks (Spark), Direct Lake Semantic Models
Performance Optimization (Critical Responsibility) - semantic models and measures
Reduce report latency through model design, aggregations, and query tuning
Optimize Direct Lake and Import models for large-scale analytics
Monitor and improve performance using tools like Performance Analyzer, DAX Studio, and Fabric monitoring
Large Data Handling - Work with very large datasets (millions to billions of rows)
Implement strategies like - Aggregation tables, Partitioning
Incremental Refresh & Data Strategies:
Handle historical vs real-time data scenarios
Develop data ingestion pipelines from various sources: Snowflake, SQL Server, APIs, Data Lakes, etc.
Implement data governance and security: Row-Level Security (RLS), Data access management
Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions
Troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks and data issues
Support deployment pipelines, CI/CD, and workspace management in Fabric/Power BI Service
