Role Overview
The Import/Export Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the end-to-end global movement of goods. This role ensures that all international shipments are executed efficiently, cost-effectively, and in full compliance with domestic and international trade regulations. You will serve as the primary bridge between global suppliers, carriers, customs brokers, and internal departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Logistics Strategy & Execution: Design and implement global shipping strategies to optimize transit times and minimize costs across sea, air, and land freight.
- Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all shipments comply with Hearth/Trade regulations. Oversee the accuracy of commercial invoices, packing lists, Bills of Lading, and Certificates of Origin.
- Customs Liaison: Manage relationships with customs brokers and freight forwarders to ensure smooth clearance of goods and resolve any border delays or tariff disputes.
- Vendor Management: Negotiate contracts and service level agreements (SLAs) with global carriers and 3PL providers.
- Inventory Coordination: Collaborate with the warehouse and procurement teams to track incoming shipments and ensure inventory levels meet demand without overstocking.
- Risk Management: Monitor geopolitical shifts, port strikes, or weather disruptions that may impact the supply chain and develop contingency plans.
- Financial Oversight: Audit freight invoices, manage the logistics budget, and analyze landed costs to identify savings opportunities.
Education & Professional Experience
- Degree: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Trade, or Business Administration. (Equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).
- Years of Experience: Minimum of 5 years of direct experience in international logistics, freight forwarding, or global supply chain operations.
- Leadership: At least 2 years in a supervisory or management capacity, overseeing a team or a significant department budget.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
