Job Summary/Objective
Quality Assurance Leaders at MRI collaborate closely with Product Management, Product Development, Architecture, and Operations teams to define, execute, and continuously improve the quality strategy for MRI’s software solutions. QA Leaders are responsible for ensuring the delivery of high quality, high performance, secure, and scalable products that meet both customer expectations and business objectives.
In this role, QA Leaders provide direction and oversight for manual, automation, and performance testing strategies across web, mobile, API, and backend systems. They establish quality standards, testing practices, tools, and processes, ensuring consistent and effective execution throughout the software development lifecycle. QA Leaders guide teams in defining test approaches, acceptance criteria, and release readiness while proactively identifying quality risks and driving corrective actions.
QA Leaders are accountable for building, mentoring, and developing high performing QA teams, fostering a culture of quality ownership, continuous improvement, and accountability. They leverage metrics, reporting, and data driven insights to evaluate quality outcomes, improve efficiency, and inform decision making at the product, portfolio, and enterprise levels.
In addition, QA Leaders champion the adoption of AI enabled testing capabilities to optimize test design, execution, defect analysis, and risk prediction. By integrating AI and modern testing practices, QA Leaders enhance testing effectiveness, accelerate delivery, and ensure that quality remains embedded across MRI’s products, teams, and global organization.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related discipline preferred
- Equivalent experience in Quality Assurance, Software Engineering, or Technical Leadership considered
- Advanced certifications, leadership training, or equivalent experience valued at senior levels

Owns people management, delivery execution, and process adoption for one or more QA teams.

- Manage QA Engineers and Team Leads
- Conduct performance reviews, coaching, and career development
- Partner on hiring, onboarding, and skills development
Quality Execution
- Own quality outcomes for assigned products or teams
- Define test plans, regression strategies, and release readiness criteria
- Ensure balanced coverage across manual, automation, and performance testing
Process & Metrics
- Enforce QA standards, best practices, and tooling usage
- Track and report quality KPIs (defects, coverage, stability)
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives
AI Enablement
Promote adoption of AI tools for test creation, prioritization, and analytics
Tools and technology
QA Leaders are expected to have strong working knowledge of QA tooling and technologies used to support manual, automation, performance, and AI enabled testing practices. Leaders are responsible for defining standards, driving adoption, and ensuring consistent, effective use of QA tools across teams and regions to enable high quality, data driven delivery.
