Odd Giraffe is a fast-growing D2C brand focused on personalised photobooks, journals, and stationery. We operate a made-to-order model, which means every product is unique to a customer. We are setting up and scaling our in-house manufacturing to improve quality, speed, and unit economics.

About the Role
Odd Giraffe is a fast-growing DTC brand building in-house manufacturing and fulfilment for made-to-order personalised products. This role owns end-to-end factory and warehouse operations. You will be responsible for daily production, quality, dispatch, inventory, and process discipline.
This is a hands-on, on-ground operations role. The founder will operate from the office. You will run the factory and fulfilment floor.
What You Will Own
End-to-End Production
- Plan and run daily production for made-to-order photobooks and personalised products
- Own order flow from print intake to dispatch readiness
- Ensure zero mismatch between inside pages and covers
- Hit daily dispatch and turnaround targets
Printing & Vendor Coordination
- Coordinate with external digital printers and vendors
- Ensure files are print-ready with correct pagination, bleed, cut marks, barcodes, and spine sizing
- Own quality, timelines, and escalation with print partners
Process, SOPs & Error Reduction
- Design and enforce SOPs for printing intake, cutting, gathering, binding, QC, packing, and dispatch
- Implement barcode scanning or order-level tracking at critical stages
- Reduce errors, reprints, and wastage month-on-month
- Build mistake-proof workflows for personalised production
Quality Control
- Define QC standards for photobooks and covers
- Catch alignment, binding, and matching issues before dispatch
- Own root-cause analysis and process fixes
Inventory & WIP Management
- Manage raw materials, covers, boards, paper stocks, consumables, and packaging
- Track WIP across all production stages
- Maintain reorder cycles and prevent stockouts or excess holding
People & Floor Management
- Run the production team on the floor
- Assign station-wise roles and output targets
- Train, monitor, and enforce discipline on SOPs and quality
Data, Tracking & Scale
- Create simple daily production reports and visibility on order status
- Prepare factory workflows for scale and higher daily volumes
- Work with management to improve throughput without quality loss
Must-Have Requirements
- 2+ years in Ecommerce operations, warehouse ops, fulfilment, or factory ops
- Strong on-ground experience running daily operations
- Has built or run SOP-driven ops in a high-volume environment
- Comfortable owning dispatch SLAs and customer impact
- Can manage people and chaos on the floor
Good to Have
- Experience in made-to-order or personalised manufacturing
- Exposure to barcode tracking, ERP, or WMS systems
- Experience setting up or scaling a print production unit

- Dispatch timelines improve and become predictable
- Error and reprint rates drop steadily
- Production throughput increases without quality dips
- Founder does not need to step into daily factory firefighting
- Clear visibility on every order and stage at any point in time
