Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and maintain PLC-based automation systems.
- Perform PLC programming, modifications, testing, and commissioning activities.
- Work on industrial communication protocols and device integrations.
- Monitor and maintain automation system performance and uptime.
- Integrate PLC systems with databases and reporting platforms.
- Support data collection, analysis, and dashboard development using Power BI.
- Coordinate with production, maintenance, and IT teams for automation improvements.
- Perform root cause analysis and provide technical resolutions for system issues.
- Maintain technical documentation, reports, and SOPs.
- Ensure compliance with safety and industrial standards.
Required Skills & Technical ExpertisePLC & Automation
- Strong hands-on experience in PLC programming and troubleshooting.
- Experience with industrial automation systems and control panels.
- Exposure to SCADA/HMI systems is an added advantage.
Communication Protocols
Good knowledge and practical experience in industrial communication protocols such as:
- Modbus
- Ethernet/IP
- Profinet
- OPC
- RS232/RS485 communication
- TCP/IP networking
Database Management
- Good understanding of database concepts and management.
- Experience in SQL databases, data logging, and industrial data integration.
Power BI
- Knowledge in Power BI dashboard creation and reporting.
- Ability to visualize operational and production data.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in:
- Electrical Engineering
- Electronics & Instrumentation
- Mechatronics
- Industrial Automation
- Related Engineering Discipline
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently in onsite industrial environments.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Experience in manufacturing/industrial automation projects preferred.
