Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Sous Chef to support the kitchen operations of a premium café under a leading developer. The ideal candidate should have strong culinary skills, excellent knowledge of food preparation, team-handling abilities and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene and presentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations.
- Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff during preparation and service.
- Ensure consistent taste, quality, portion size and presentation of all dishes.
- Handle daily mise en place and ensure smooth service during peak hours.
- Monitor food preparation and ensure recipes and SOPs are followed.
- Check the quality and freshness of ingredients before use.
- Assist with menu planning, new dish development and daily specials.
- Monitor food stock, portion control and minimize kitchen wastage.
- Ensure proper storage, labeling and handling of food items.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of kitchen areas and equipment.
- Follow food safety standards and kitchen SOPs.
- Coordinate with the service team for timely and accurate order execution.
- Train, guide and motivate Commis and junior kitchen staff.
- Support the Head Chef in maintaining overall kitchen discipline and efficiency.

Who Can Apply?
Candidates with 3–5 years of relevant experience as a Sous Chef, Junior Sous Chef, CDP or Senior Chef in a premium café, restaurant, hotel or resort are encouraged to apply.
