We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Machine Maintenance Technician (Industrial Mechanic) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of all production machinery and equipment. This role involves performing preventative maintenance, diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical breakdowns, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives to minimize downtime and maximize operational efficiency. The Machine Maintenance Technician will work closely with production teams to support smooth manufacturing operations and uphold the highest safety standards.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on a variety of industrial machinery, including but not limited to CNC machines, presses, conveyor systems, and automated assembly lines, following established schedules and procedures.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on production equipment, identifying root causes of failures quickly and accurately.
- Execute timely and effective repairs, including replacing defective parts, adjusting components, and reassembling machinery to restore full functionality.
- Conduct predictive maintenance tasks, such as vibration analysis, thermal imaging, and oil analysis, to anticipate potential failures and schedule proactive interventions.
- Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, blueprints, and diagrams to facilitate troubleshooting and repair processes.
- Document all maintenance activities, including repairs, parts used, and time spent, using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Collaborate with production operators and supervisors to understand equipment performance issues and provide technical support.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures during all maintenance operations.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing machine reliability, reducing maintenance costs, and improving overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored and accounted for.
- Order and manage spare parts inventory to ensure critical components are readily available for repairs.
