Roles & Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and high-performance API Management and API Gateway solutions.
- Configure and maintain API Gateway platforms based on business and technical requirements.
- Develop and enforce API policies for authentication, authorization, rate limiting, caching, and traffic management.
- Integrate API Gateway with enterprise applications, cloud services, and backend systems.
- Monitor API performance, optimize gateway configurations, and ensure high availability.
- Provide technical guidance and recommend best practices for API management and integration.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver robust API solutions.
- Develop and maintain API documentation, standards, and governance policies.
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide ongoing support for API management platforms.
- Drive continuous improvements in API security, automation, and operational efficiency.
Requisites
- Bachelor//'s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong expertise in API Management and API Gateway platforms (Gravitee preferred).
- Proficiency in RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and API lifecycle management.
- Hands-on experience with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and API security protocols (OAuth, JWT, API Keys).
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, networking protocols (HTTP/HTTPS, TCP/IP), and web services.
- Familiarity with Swagger/OpenAPI, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- API Gateway or cloud platform certifications are an added advantage.
