About the Role
We are looking for a passionate Robotics Engineer to join our team in developing AI-powered robotic automation solutions for waste segregation and material handling applications. The candidate will work on industrial robotic arms, vision systems, grippers, and automation software to build intelligent robotic systems capable of identifying and sorting materials in real-world environments.
This role is ideal for fresh graduates with strong robotics fundamentals or candidates with 1–2 years of experience in industrial robotics, automation, mechatronics, or related fields.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in programming, testing, and commissioning industrial robotic arms.
- Integrate AI/Computer Vision systems with robotic manipulators.
- Develop and optimize pick-and-place operations for automated sorting systems.
- Work with sensors, cameras, grippers, and end-effectors.
- Perform robot calibration, TCP setup, and coordinate frame alignment.
- Support integration between robots, PLCs, and industrial devices.
- Troubleshoot robotic systems and improve operational performance.
- Participate in prototype development, testing, and deployment.
- Document system configurations, procedures, and test results.
- Collaborate with AI, software, and hardware teams.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of robotics, automation, or mechatronics.
- Knowledge of robotic arm kinematics and coordinate systems.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, C++, or similar.
- Understanding of sensors, actuators, and control systems.
- Basic knowledge of industrial communication protocols is an advantage.
- Ability to read technical documentation and troubleshoot engineering systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- B.Tech/B.E. in Robotics, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
- Experience with industrial robots such as ABB, KUKA, Fanuc, Yaskawa, Kawasaki, or Universal Robots.
- Exposure to ROS/ROS2, OpenCV, Machine Learning, or Computer Vision projects is highly preferred.
- Experience with PLCs, industrial networking, or automation projects is an added advantage.
- Hands-on experience from academic projects, internships, robotics competitions, or industrial training is highly desirable.
