Job Summary
The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for overseeing fabrication activities, coordinating production processes, ensuring quality standards, and supporting the execution of Pre-Engineered Building (PEB) projects. The role involves working closely with design, production, quality, and project teams to ensure timely and efficient project completion.
Key Roles & ResponsibilitiesPEB Project Execution
- Coordinate with design, detailing, and production teams for smooth project execution.
- Review fabrication drawings, GA drawings, and shop drawings.
- Monitor manufacturing and fabrication activities as per project specifications.
- Ensure compliance with project schedules and delivery commitments.
Fabrication Management
- Supervise fabrication of steel structures, columns, rafters, bracings, and built-up sections.
- Monitor cutting, welding, drilling, fitting, and assembly activities.
- Ensure fabrication work is carried out according to approved drawings and quality standards.
- Coordinate with production teams to resolve fabrication-related issues.
Quality Control & Inspection
- Verify dimensional accuracy of fabricated components.
- Ensure compliance with welding procedures and quality requirements.
- Coordinate with QA/QC teams for inspections and quality documentation.
- Identify and rectify fabrication defects and non-conformities.
Production Planning & Coordination
- Track daily production progress and productivity.
- Coordinate with stores and procurement teams for material availability.
- Assist in production planning and resource allocation.
- Monitor project milestones and report progress to management.
Site & Installation Support
- Provide technical support during erection and installation activities.
- Coordinate with site teams to resolve fabrication and erection issues.
- Assist in troubleshooting and implementing corrective actions.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations and company policies.
- Promote safe working practices within the fabrication shop.
- Participate in safety audits and risk assessments.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of PEB structures and steel fabrication processes.
- Understanding of fabrication drawings and structural drawings.
- Familiarity with welding, cutting, drilling, and assembly operations.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office.
- Knowledge of quality standards and inspection procedures.
- Strong problem-solving and coordination skills.
- Good communication and team management abilities.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
