Job Summary
The Student Counsellor & Administrative Executive is responsible for guiding prospective and existing students, coordinating admissions, maintaining student records, and ensuring smooth day-to-day administrative operations within the institution. The role serves as a bridge between students, parents, faculty, and management to provide an excellent student experience.
Key ResponsibilitiesStudent Counselling & Admissions
- Counsel prospective students and parents regarding courses, career opportunities, eligibility criteria, and admission procedures.
- Conduct student interviews, aptitude assessments, and counselling sessions.
- Follow up with enquiries and convert leads into admissions.
- Assist students in selecting suitable courses based on their educational background and career goals.
- Organize orientation programs for newly admitted students.
- Address student concerns and provide guidance throughout their academic journey.
Student Relations
- Maintain effective communication with students and parents.
- Coordinate parent-student meetings and counselling sessions.
- Monitor student attendance, performance, and feedback.
- Resolve student grievances and escalate issues to management when required.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with students to enhance student satisfaction.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Manage admission documentation and student records.
- Maintain databases, files, and reports related to admissions and student activities.
- Prepare letters, certificates, notices, and other institutional documents.
- Coordinate class schedules, examinations, and academic activities.
- Ensure availability of classroom requirements, stationery, and other administrative resources.
- Handle fee collection coordination and maintain payment records in collaboration with the Accounts Department.
- Prepare periodic reports for management regarding admissions, student progress, and administrative activities.
Examination & Academic Coordination
- Inform students about examination schedules and guidelines.
- Coordinate examination arrangements and invigilation requirements.
- Maintain examination records and documentation.
- Liaise with faculty members regarding student attendance and academic progress.
General Administration
- Welcome students and visitors professionally.
- Coordinate with faculty, management, and support staff for smooth institutional operations.
- Ensure compliance with institutional policies and procedures.
- Perform any other duties assigned by management from time to time.
Experience
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in student counselling, admissions, educational administration, or customer relationship management.
- Experience in educational institutions, training centers, or colleges is preferred
Pay: Up to ₹20,000.00 per month
