Auto Mechanic / Commercial Vehicle Mechanic
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Auto Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial vehicles. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring vehicles are serviced efficiently and meet quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive maintenance and repair work on commercial vehicles.
- Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out repairs.
- Repair and replace engine, clutch, gearbox, brake, suspension, steering, and driveline components.
- Conduct vehicle inspections and identify maintenance requirements.
- Follow job cards and workshop procedures.
- Ensure repairs are completed within the allotted time.
- Test vehicles after repairs to ensure proper functioning.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work area.
- Follow all safety and quality standards.
- Assist senior technicians and supervisors as required.
Requirements:
- ITI (Diesel Mechanic/Motor Mechanic Vehicle) or Diploma in Automobile/Mechanical Engineering.
- 2–8 years of experience in commercial vehicle maintenance and repair.
- Knowledge of heavy vehicle systems and workshop practices.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
