Join AMPIN Energy’s Business Development team!
The Business Development team is instrumental in driving company revenues by helping Commercial & Industrial (C&I) customers meet their RE100 targets through long-term Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs). As the face of the organization, BD professionals carry the goodwill built over years of delivering clean and sustainable energy solutions. To support our expanding portfolio in the northern region, we are seeking a dynamic leader for the role of Head – C&I Power Sales (Open Access – Intra-State and ISTS) – North. This role offers the opportunity to lead the BD Open Access team in the North and develop expertise across business development, project structuring, regulatory strategy, partner engagement, and stakeholder management.
How you will contribute:
You will lead C&I Open Access business development across the Northern Region, targeting inter and intra-state customers. Your responsibilities will include:
- Driving power sales in private markets for C&I customers (Open Access / Third Party / Group Captive / Trading / Virtual PPAs)
- Conducting feasibility assessments for customer energy transition plans
- Engaging with customers to understand their RE100 goals and feedback
- Participating in private tenders, preparing bids, presentations, and commercial offers
- Building and managing channel partners and key stakeholders
- Evaluating financial, environmental, and strategic impact of AMPIN Energy’s solutions
- Monitoring regulatory changes, tariffs, and market dynamics impacting Open Access PPAs
- Leading petition filings, rejoinders, and regulatory analysis
- Representing Ampin Energy in industry forums and policy discussions
- Managing power agreements, regulatory approvals, and operational execution
- Collaborating with internal teams (engineering, design, project management) to deliver customer value
Ideal Skills for this role include:
- B.Tech in Electrical/Mechanical + MBA in Power Management
- 12+ years of BD experience in renewable energy with client-facing exposure
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Deep understanding of Open Access regulations and power trading in Northern states
- Experience with IPPs and knowledge of renewable and storage technologies
- Willingness to travel across the region
- Self-driven, strategic thinker with a collaborative mindset
