JOB PURPOSE:
The Site Supervisor will handle day-to-day field operations, directly managing labor and contractors on-site. Site Supervisor will ensure that civil works conform to approved drawings, safety norms, and quality standards while maintaining daily progress logs.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- On-Site Supervision: Monitor daily construction activities including excavation, foundation work, RCC casting, masonry, and PEB structural erection.
- Labor & Contractor Control: Allocate daily tasks to contractors and laborers, ensuring maximum productivity and discipline on the site.
- Drawing Interpretation: Read blueprints and structural drawings accurately to guide on-site execution teams and prevent rework.
- Material Tracking: Receive incoming construction materials, check quantities against delivery notes, track inventory, and report shortages.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct basic quality checks on-site (e.g., concrete slump tests, curing monitoring) and report defects to the Project Manager.
- Daily Progress Reporting: Maintain site logbooks, record labor attendance, track machinery usage, and submit daily progress reports (DPR).
- Site Safety Enforcement: Ensure all workers wear mandatory PPE (helmets, jackets, safety shoes) and maintain a clean, hazard-free work zone.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of field experience in industrial or factory construction projects. Greenfield site experience is a strong plus.
- Technical Skills: Ability to read civil, architectural, and structural drawings. Basic knowledge of survey instruments (Auto Level) is preferred.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication skills to manage local labor, problem-solving mindset. Good spoken Assamese is desired.
After successfully execution of project, candidate can be retained for regular operational requirement.
