Job Summary
An Assistant Professor in Physiotherapy is responsible for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students, conducting research, supervising clinical training, and contributing to academic and administrative activities within the institution.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach subjects related to Physiotherapy through lectures, practical sessions, and clinical demonstrations.
- Prepare lesson plans, study materials, assignments, and examinations.
- Guide students during clinical postings and internships.
- Conduct and publish research in recognized journals.
- Participate in curriculum development and academic planning.
- Mentor and counsel students regarding academics and clinical practice.
- Attend departmental meetings, seminars, workshops, and conferences.
- Maintain student records, attendance, and assessment reports.
- Support accreditation and quality assurance activities.
- Collaborate with hospitals and rehabilitation centers for clinical education.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree (MPT/MSPT) in Physiotherapy from a recognized university.
- Registration with the relevant Physiotherapy Council.
- NET/PhD qualification may be preferred as per institutional or regulatory requirements.
- Teaching or clinical experience preferred.
