Position: Marketing Manager
We are looking for an experienced Marketing Manager with a proven track record in marketing large ductile iron and grey iron castings.
This is a specialized position. Only candidates with 5–10 years of relevant marketing experience in large iron castings will be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute marketing strategies for large ductile iron and grey iron castings.
- Identify and develop new customers and business opportunities in domestic and export markets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, engineering companies, and industrial customers.
- Understand customer requirements, casting specifications, drawings, volumes, and commercial requirements.
- Identify potential applications where large ductile and grey iron castings can replace existing manufacturing solutions or suppliers.
- Generate RFQs and coordinate with Engineering, Foundry, Quality, and Finance teams for technical and commercial quotations.
- Follow up on quotations, negotiations, sampling, trials, PPAP, and new business development until successful order conversion.
- Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline and regularly report business development activities to management.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, customer requirements, and pricing in the large-casting segment.
- Coordinate with the foundry and technical teams to assess castability, tooling requirements, production feasibility, and costing for new enquiries.
- Support customer visits, technical discussions, plant visits, audits, and commercial negotiations.
- Maintain accurate customer records, enquiry status, quotation status, order pipeline, and sales forecasts.
- Work closely with Production, Quality, Tool Room, Engineering, and Management to ensure smooth execution of new business.
- Drive achievement of sales and customer acquisition targets.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical, Production, or related Engineering/technical discipline. MBA/PGDM in Marketing will be an added advantage.
- 5–10 years of marketing/business development experience specifically in large ductile iron and grey iron castings.
- Experience in large castings is mandatory. Candidates without relevant large-casting marketing experience need not apply.
- Strong understanding of ductile iron and grey iron casting processes, casting applications, and customer requirements.
- Experience working with OEMs, Tier-1 customers, engineering companies, or industrial customers will be preferred.
- Ability to understand engineering drawings, casting specifications, and technical requirements.
- Strong commercial negotiation, customer relationship management, and business development skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively for customer meetings and business development.
- Strong proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and CRM/ERP systems.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Ability to independently develop new business and convert enquiries into orders.
