Role Overview We are seeking an accurate, detail-oriented Accountant to manage daily accounting operations, statutory compliance, and financial reporting. You will oversee ledger maintenance, reconcile bank and vendor accounts, assist with tax filings, and ensure all financial transactions comply with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Bookkeeping & General Ledger: Record day-to-day financial transactions, maintain journal entries, and ensure up-to-date, accurate general ledgers.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process incoming vendor invoices, issue client billings, track payment cycles, and resolve payment discrepancies.
- Bank & Account Reconciliations: Perform monthly reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, vendor statements, and intercompany ledgers.
- Taxation & Statutory Compliance: Prepare and assist with direct and indirect tax filings (such as GST, TDS, or local sales tax), ensuring accurate withholding and timely statutory remittances.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual balance sheets, profit-and-loss statements, and cash-flow reports.
- Audit Support: Organize documentation, balance confirmations, and schedules for internal and external auditors during year-end closures.
- Inventory & Asset Tracking: Maintain fixed asset registers, calculate depreciation, and support periodic physical stock/asset counts.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field (Inter CA, CMA, or semi-qualified credentials preferred).
- Experience: 2 to 5 years of relevant accounting and bookkeeping experience.
- Software Proficiency: Strong hands-on experience with accounting ERPs (such as Tally Prime, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or SAP) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, data validation).
- Regulatory Knowledge: Solid grasp of standard accounting principles (GAAP / Ind AS / IFRS) and regional tax regulations.
- Core Competencies: High attention to numerical accuracy, strong analytical capabilities, integrity in handling confidential financial records, and solid organizational skills to meet hard monthly deadlines.
Pay: ₹8,280.90 - ₹29,572.39 per month
