Job Summary
The Senior Placement Officer is responsible for developing and managing employer relationships, driving student placements, coordinating recruitment activities, and ensuring high placement outcomes. The role involves collaborating with corporate partners, academic departments, students, and management to create employment opportunities and strengthen the institution's industry network.
Key ResponsibilitiesCorporate Relations
- Develop and maintain relationships with corporate recruiters and hiring managers.
- Identify new companies for campus recruitment and strategic partnerships.
- Conduct regular employer visits and networking activities.
- Negotiate placement opportunities and internship collaborations.
Student Placement
- Assist students with career planning and job search strategies.
- Match student profiles with suitable job opportunities.
- Monitor student placement progress and maintain placement records.
- Support students throughout recruitment processes until onboarding.
Career Development
- Conduct employability workshops including:
- Resume writing
- Interview preparation
- Group discussion training
- Soft skills development
- Corporate etiquette
- Coordinate aptitude tests and mock interviews.
Employer Engagement
- Increase the number of recruiting companies each academic year.
- Build long-term strategic partnerships with employers.
- Collect employer feedback to improve student employability.
Data Management & Reporting
- Maintain accurate placement databases and employer contacts.
- Track placement statistics, salaries, offers, and student outcomes.
- Prepare monthly and annual placement reports.
- Analyze placement trends and recommend improvement strategies.
Compliance & Administration
- Ensure placement processes comply with institutional policies.
- Coordinate documentation including offer letters, internship agreements, and employer records.
- Maintain confidentiality of student and employer information.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Management, Education, or a related field.
- Master's degree preferred.
- 2–4 years of experience in placements, recruitment, HR, corporate relations, or career services.
- Experience in educational institutions is highly desirable.
