Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled VMC Operator with 1–2 years of experience in operating Vertical Machining Center (VMC) machines. The candidate will be responsible for machine operation, loading and unloading components, monitoring machining processes, and ensuring production quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate VMC machines as per production requirements.
- Load and unload raw materials and finished components.
- Follow setup instructions and work instructions provided by the setter or supervisor.
- Monitor machine operations and report abnormalities.
- Perform basic tool offset corrections as instructed.
- Conduct in-process inspections using measuring instruments.
- Ensure components meet quality specifications and drawing requirements.
- Maintain production records and machine operation logs.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain workplace cleanliness (5S).
- Assist setters and maintenance personnel during machine setup and troubleshooting.
- Achieve daily production targets while maintaining quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- ITI/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Machinist, or related trade.
- 1–2 years of experience operating VMC/CNC machines.
- Basic knowledge of machining processes and cutting tools.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and process sheets.
- Familiarity with measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
