The EDM Operator is responsible for setting up and operating Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) or Wire-cut EDM machines to shape metal workpieces to precise specifications. The role involves interpreting engineering drawings, programming machine parameters, and ensuring the final products meet quality and tolerance standards.
Machine Setup & Operation: Set up, calibrate, and operate conventional or CNC EDM machines based on job orders.
Component Selection: Select, mount, and align the correct electrodes, cutting wires, and workpieces on the machine.
Programming & Adjustment: Input machine settings such as voltage, amperage, spark cycle, and feed rates; monitor the process for spark stability.
Quality Inspection: Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments like micrometers, vernier calipers, and height gauges to ensure adherence to tight tolerances.
Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
