Job description:
A Telesales Representative drives company revenue by selling products or services directly to customers over the phone. Key duties include conducting cold calls, following scripts, managing customer databases (CRM), and meeting sales targets. They must have excellent communication, negotiation skills, and resilience to handle rejection.
Responsibilities
Customer Outreach: Making cold calls to prospects and following up on leads to generate new business.
Sales Execution: Using persuasive techniques to pitch products, answer questions, and close sales.
Relationship Management: Maintaining and updating customer databases, including contact information and interaction history.
Upselling: Identifying opportunities to cross-sell or upsell products to existing customers.
Reporting: Meeting daily, weekly, or monthly sales quotas and submitting activity reports.
Problem-Solving: Addressing customer complaints or objections politely and effectively.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Communication: Exceptional verbal communication and negotiation skills.
Resilience: Ability to handle rejection and remain motivated in a high-pressure environment.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a degree is a plus.
Experience: Previous experience in sales, telemarketing, or customer service is often required.
