Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated BMS Operator to monitor, operate, and maintain fire protection systems, with a primary focus on Sprinkler and Hydrant systems through the Building Management System (BMS). The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of fire safety equipment, attending alarms, maintaining system logs, and coordinating with the maintenance team to ensure system reliability and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and operate Sprinkler and Hydrant systems through the Building Management System (BMS).
- Continuously monitor fire pumps, jockey pumps, valves, pressure levels, and water tank levels.
- Respond promptly to alarms, fault notifications, and emergency situations.
- Perform routine inspections and operational checks of fire protection systems.
- Maintain daily logbooks, checklists, and BMS event records.
- Coordinate with the maintenance team for preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and report system abnormalities or equipment failures.
- Ensure all fire protection systems remain operational and compliant with safety standards.
- Support testing and commissioning activities whenever required.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies while working on-site.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS).
- Understanding of Sprinkler, Hydrant, Fire Pump, and Fire Protection Systems.
- Ability to monitor alarms and respond effectively during emergencies.
- Good troubleshooting and observation skills.
- Basic computer knowledge for report preparation and record maintenance.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working in commercial buildings, hospitals, data centers, or industrial facilities.
- Familiarity with fire safety standards and emergency response procedures.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices for fire protection systems.
