About the Role
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Fashion Designer / Product Merchandiser to join our growing fashion brand in Ludhiana. The ideal candidate should have experience in apparel design, product development, sourcing, merchandising, and coordinating with production teams to ensure timely delivery of collections.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop seasonal apparel collections aligned with brand requirements.
- Create design concepts, mood boards, sketches, and tech packs.
- Research fashion trends, fabrics, trims, colors, and market demands.
- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and production teams for sampling and bulk production.
- Manage product development from concept to final production.
- Monitor sample approvals and ensure quality standards are maintained.
- Track production timelines and delivery schedules.
- Assist in fabric sourcing, costing, and product planning.
- Maintain product catalogs, specifications, and merchandising records.
- Work closely with marketing and sales teams for product launches.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Fashion Design, Apparel Design, or a related field.
- 1–5 years of experience in Fashion Designing, Merchandising, or Product Development.
- Knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, trims, and production processes.
- Experience working with apparel manufacturers and vendors.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW, or similar design software.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple collections and deadlines simultaneously.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with women's wear, men's wear, ethnic wear, western wear, or fashion accessories.
- Prior experience in a fashion brand or garment manufacturing company.
- Understanding of retail and e-commerce fashion trends.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
