Job Summary:
Lead and facilitate agriculture marketing, FPP implementation, market linkage and agribusiness support activities for women-led FPCs under the SMART Project. Support FPCs in marketable-surplus planning, buyer linkages, MoUs, trading, capacity building, procurement, post-harvest/value addition and access to project grant tranches.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate inception activities and support mapping of future leaders.
- Provide capacity building (CB) support to future leaders and Boards of Directors (BoDs).
- Extend inputs and field support for FPP execution, including civil works, machinery selection and erection.
- Support formation of procurement committees and their capacity building.
- Map FPC-wise marketable surplus and design a protocol for trading available surplus.
- Support pre- and post-season crop surveys to estimate prospective business volumes for FPOs.
- Facilitate capacity building for BoDs and producers on FPP implementation and organize district/regional trainings and
workshops.
- Develop training modules and demonstrations on basic post-harvest management and value addition.
- Facilitate market linkages, technology-provider connections, institutional-buyer and potential-market mapping.
- Organize buyer-seller meetings and execute MoUs with at least two buyers for each FPC.
- Facilitate credit access for FPCs to obtain the first tranche from the SMART Project and contribute to access of all four
grant tranches.
- Coordinate with regional/district officials and project functionaries for smooth implementation.
- Manage regional/district teams and ensure resource mobilization as required.
- Identify relevant processing units/FPCs for BoD exposure visits.
- Oversee PM (per metric ton) transactions in line with deliverable requirements.
- Facilitate M E requirements and compile/submit documents for deliverable reports.
Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience in agri-business / agriculture marketing, with
experience in FPC/FPO development, market linkages, agribusiness development and field
implementation.
Strong knowledge of agriculture marketing and agribusiness.
