Role Purpose
We are looking for experienced and result-oriented Production Engineers to manage and support manufacturing operations across various production sections. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring smooth production, adherence to quality and safety standards, optimum utilization of manpower and resources, and timely achievement of production targets.
Key Responsibilities1. Production Planning & Execution
- Execute daily production plans as per the approved schedule.
- Monitor production output, productivity and line efficiency.
- Ensure timely completion of production targets.
- Coordinate with PPC, Quality, Maintenance, Stores and other cross-functional teams.
- Identify production bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
2. Process & Productivity Improvement
- Monitor manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Reduce rejection, rework, downtime and process losses.
- Support continuous improvement and productivity enhancement initiatives.
- Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machines and materials.
- Implement standard operating procedures and work instructions.
3. Quality Control
- Ensure production is carried out as per defined quality standards.
- Coordinate with Quality/PDI teams for inspection and resolution of quality issues.
- Analyze rejection and rework data and implement preventive actions.
- Maintain process discipline and ensure compliance with customer requirements.
4. Manpower & Shop-Floor Management
- Allocate manpower according to production requirements.
- Monitor operator performance and productivity.
- Ensure proper utilization and deployment of manpower.
- Train and guide operators on process requirements and safe working practices.
- Maintain discipline and 5S standards on the shop floor.
5. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Identify unsafe practices and take corrective action.
- Maintain housekeeping and 5S standards.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs and statutory safety requirements.
Section-Specific Exposure
Moulding:
Handling and monitoring moulding/manufacturing processes, process parameters, production output, rejection control and mould-related production activities.
Wabtec:
Managing production activities related to Wabtec projects/products while ensuring adherence to customer specifications, quality requirements and delivery schedules.
Finishing:
Managing finishing operations, surface quality, process compliance, productivity and timely completion of finished components/products.
PDI:
Supporting Pre-Delivery Inspection activities, ensuring products meet defined quality, functional and documentation requirements before dispatch.
Assembly:
Managing assembly-line operations, manpower deployment, takt/production targets, process adherence and coordination with Quality and Stores.
SML:
Managing production activities for SML-related products/projects, ensuring production targets, quality standards and delivery commitments are achieved.
Candidate Profile
- Diploma/B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical, Production, Manufacturing or relevant engineering discipline.
- 4–5 years of relevant experience in automotive, fabrication, manufacturing, assembly or allied industrial operations.
- Strong understanding of production processes and shop-floor operations.
- Good knowledge of production planning, productivity improvement and quality systems.
- Ability to handle manpower and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Working knowledge of MS Office and production-related systems will be preferred.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
