We are looking for a highly organized and technically knowledgeable Engineering Storekeeper to manage the heartbeat of our engineering operations. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining our engineering store, ensuring the seamless receipt, issuance, and replenishment of vital spare parts to support our production and project engineering departments.
What You Will Do (Roles & Responsibilities):
Inventory Management & SAP Administration
System Accuracy: Update and maintain the mechanical store inventory via the SAP computerized system, including accurately keying in Goods Receipts (GR) and transaction postings.
Stock Control: Conduct regular inventory control and physical stock counts/checking to ensure system alignment.
Lifecycle Management: Proactively identify slow-moving, expired shelf-life, and obsolete parts to initiate the scrapping process.
Daily Store Operations & Material Handling
Receiving & Issuing: Manage the physical receiving and issuing of parts requested by users across the production and project departments, including handling necessary requisition forms.
Organization & Housekeeping: Store parts accurately in their respective bin locations and maintain strict cleanliness, functionality, and safety standards within the store.
Heavy Handling: Provide hands-on assistance to unload new equipment and heavy engineering parts.
Technical Identification & Quality Control
Part Verification: Identify and clarify the correctness of parts upon delivery. Learn and familiarize yourself with new parts across various disciplines (mechanical, electrical, electronics, and instrumentation).
Problem Solving: Identify and provide equivalent alternative parts to users when necessary.
Returns Management: Process materials returned to suppliers, including issuing the correct forms and coordinating the physical return of non-conforming parts.
Cross-Functional Coordination & Communication
Purchasing Liaison: Work closely with purchasers to inform them of delivered parts, follow up on outstanding deliveries, and clarify part conformance to specifications.
Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the central point of contact for internal teams (Store Executive, Maintenance Supervisors, Engineering Staff, Production Staff, and the Plant Services Manager) and external partners (Engineering parts vendors and Contractors).
Administrative Support: Submit necessary documentation to respective personnel and perform ad-hoc tasks as required to support the engineering department.
Who We Are Looking For (Requirements):
Education: Minimum SPM / SPVM / SC / MCE qualification. A Certificate in Storekeeping is highly preferred.
Experience: At least 2 years of relevant experience in engineering storekeeping.
Technical Knowledge: Must possess strong technical knowledge of engineering components (mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation) to accurately identify and manage spare parts.
Systems: Familiarity with SAP or similar computerized inventory management systems is required.
