As a AVP, Software Engineer III, you’ll be building Microservices, MFE’s, API’s and managing an amazing team of engineers working on our applications leveraging cloud technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
- Build Microservices, MFE’s & API’s leveraging cloud technologies with high quality and sound design principles
- Lead an Workstation Agile Team and Partner with business stakeholders and IT to ensure requirements are understood, solutioned within standards and delivered on time.
- Manage multiple IT technologies and priorities of the team and dependent teams using Agile methodologies.
- Align with Workstation modernization journey and work with cross functional team to design and build solutions accordingly.
- Create and manage proactive monitoring across all modules to avoid and/or reduce the adverse impact on any applications.
- Manage DevOps pipelines for Microservices, MFE’s & API’s
- Analyze production defects, troubleshoot systems, identify root cause and implement fixes
- Work with third party vendors to develop software and/or integrate their software into our products
- Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
Required Skills/Knowledge:
- 2+ years of experience in Java, Spring Projects - Spring Boot, Spring Framework, React JS, Spring Cloud, Git, Maven, REST
- 2+ years of experience with Agile application development and familiarity with tools like JIRA
- 2+ years of experience with Workstation Application Architecture and Public cloud migration.
- 2+ years of experience with Workstation App Build and Reliability Processes.
- 2+ years of experience with continuous integration environments and using tools like Jenkins
- 2+ years of experience with Cloud Platforms like Pivotal Cloud Foundry & AWS.
- Strong Knowledge on Fraud handling workflows.
Desired Skills/Knowledge:
- Familiarity in designing application using SOLID principles, Java and microservice design patterns with business acumen
- Working knowledge in RDBMS
- Familiarity and Understanding of Critical Workstation Business Capabilities.
- Ability to analyze, use structured problem solving and available tools to troubleshoot systems, identify root cause, action plans, impact and resolution options
Eligibility Criteria:Minimum 6+Years of experience mentioned in “ Required Skill/Knowledge” with a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent. In Lieu of degree , minimum of 8 years of experience required.
Work Timings: 2 PM – 11 PM IST
This role qualifies for Enhanced Flexibility offered in Synchrony India and will require the incumbent to be available between 06:00 AM Eastern Time – 11:30 AM Eastern Time (timings are anchored to US Eastern hours and will adjust twice a year locally). This window is for meetings with India and US teams. The remaining hours will be flexible for the employee to choose. Exceptions may periodically due to business needs)
