Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer (Experienced)
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to design, develop, and optimize mechanical components and systems. The candidate will be responsible for delivering innovative, cost-effective, and high-quality designs that meet project and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems.
- Prepare detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using CAD software.
- Perform engineering calculations, simulations, and analysis.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable standards, codes, and specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, procurement, and quality.
- Review and validate designs for performance, safety, and manufacturability.
- Support prototyping, testing, and product validation activities.
- Identify design improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Troubleshoot design-related issues during production and installation.
- Maintain proper documentation of design changes and revisions.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- 4+ years of experience in mechanical design and development.
- Proficiency in CAD tools such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, or Creo.
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with engineering calculations and simulation tools.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in product design or industrial equipment design.
- Knowledge of FEA/CFD analysis tools.
- Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
- Exposure to PLM/PDM systems.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
