Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and skilled Rajasthani Maharaj Chef to prepare authentic traditional Rajasthani cuisine while maintaining high standards of taste, quality, hygiene, and presentation. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of Rajasthani cooking techniques, traditional recipes, ingredients, and menu preparation.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare authentic Rajasthani dishes including traditional vegetarian and regional specialties.
- Maintain consistency in taste, quality, texture, and presentation.
- Plan and prepare daily menus as per business requirements.
- Prepare traditional Rajasthani dishes such as Dal Baati Churma, Gatte Ki Sabzi, Ker Sangri, Panchmel Dal, Bajra preparations, Rajasthani Kadhi, Papad ki Sabzi, and other regional specialties.
- Select and inspect ingredients for freshness and quality.
- Maintain proper portion control and minimize food wastage.
- Ensure all food is prepared according to hygiene and food-safety standards.
- Manage food preparation, cooking, and timely service.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, utensils, and cooking equipment.
- Coordinate with kitchen helpers, cooks, and other chefs.
- Train junior kitchen staff in traditional Rajasthani cooking methods where required.
- Maintain consistency in recipes and cooking methods.
- Assist in menu planning, recipe development, and special-event food preparation.
- Monitor stock of spices, ingredients, and kitchen supplies.
- Coordinate with the purchase/store team regarding ingredient requirements.
- Follow proper storage and food-handling procedures.
- Ensure timely preparation of food during high-volume service and events.
Required Skills
- Excellent knowledge of authentic Rajasthani cuisine.
- Strong traditional cooking skills.
- Knowledge of Rajasthani spices, ingredients, and cooking techniques.
- Ability to maintain consistent taste and quality.
- Good knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices.
- Strong kitchen management and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work under pressure during busy service periods.
- Good time-management skills.
- Attention to detail and presentation.
- Ability to train and guide junior kitchen staff.
Qualification
- Formal culinary education is preferred but not mandatory.
- Relevant practical experience in Rajasthani cuisine will be highly valued.
Experience
- 3–6 years of experience as a Rajasthani Chef / Maharaj Chef / Indian Chef.
- Experience in hotels, restaurants, resorts, catering companies, or large-scale kitchens preferred.
Pay: ₹32,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
