Job Summary:
The Quantity Surveyor Trainee role is designed for passionate and motivated candidates who are interested in civil engineering project execution and quantity surveying practices. This is an excellent opportunity for fresh graduates and entry-level candidates to gain practical exposure in real-time infrastructure projects.
The selected candidate will work closely with the Quantity Surveying and Engineering teams, supporting project documentation, site data management, quantity measurements, and operational coordination.
This role offers hands-on learning experience in:
- Quantity Surveying Practices
- BOQ-based Expense Tracking
- Site Documentation & Reporting
- Project Coordination
- Measurement & Billing Support
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update daily site progress reports
- Record and update measurements of executed works
- Assist in basic quantity surveying activities
- Compute quantities and working statements for executed items
- Identify and analyze variations from approved budget data
- Support documentation and reporting related to project quantities
- Segregate project expenses based on BOQ items
- Coordinate with site engineers and project teams for data collection
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of Quantity Surveying (QS)
- Fundamental understanding of civil engineering construction works
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Excel
- Willingness to learn, with patience to understand project workflows
- Ability to work systematically with technical data
- Strong attitude towards teamwork, learning, and problem-solving
