Role Overview: Lead all engineering, technical maintenance, HSE, and AMC operations at The Client's Powai facility, ensuring a safe, compliant, and high-performing facility environment. Oversee critical building systems, statutory compliance, vendor management, and operational excellence as per Master Service Agreement requirements.
Key Responsibilities: • Manage all technical operations, maintenance, and uptime for site systems including MEP, HVAC, fire/life safety, BMS, DG sets, lifts, and water systems
- Regularly review asset health, preventive maintenance schedules, system performance, and identify improvement opportunities
- Plan and execute all technical preparations for meetings, conferences, client visits, and special events
- Perform daily check-ins and inspections around facility to ensure high technical and safety standards
- Ensure 100% compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements including labour, fire, EHS, DG, lifts, FSSAI, and environmental laws
- Maintain audit-ready documentation, statutory registers, and ensure timely submissions of compliance reports
- Develop and enforce SOPs for technical operations, safety procedures, and emergency response protocols
- Lead Business Continuity Planning (BCP) preparedness, conduct drills, and coordinate emergency response procedures
- Coordinate and manage AMC vendor partners: validate contract compliance, oversee maintenance delivery, and schedule preventive and corrective work
- Review vendor service reports, close technical findings, and ensure quality standards are met
- Manage contractors and service providers: qualification checks, safety plan reviews, EHS document control, and ongoing performance monitoring
- Conduct regular technical, safety, and risk audits; investigate incidents and drive corrective action closure
- Provide staff HSE and safety training; promote safety culture across facility operations
- Submit all compliance, audit, incident, and performance reports accurately and on time
- Maintain operational and technical records as per contract and regulatory requirements
- Drive sustainability initiatives, energy efficiency, technology adoption, and continuous service improvements
- Collaborate with Facility Manager, site leadership, vendors, and client stakeholders on priorities, procurement, and budget management
- Identify and implement best practices to help facility systems perform at optimal levels
Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil) or related technical discipline
- 5-7 years of progressive experience in facilities management, engineering operations, or HSE leadership roles
- Strong knowledge of building systems including MEP, HVAC, fire/life safety, BMS, DG sets, and critical infrastructure
- Understanding of statutory compliance requirements including fire safety, EHS regulations, and environmental laws
- Experience with AMC/vendor management, contract compliance, and service delivery oversight
- Proficiency in audit management, documentation, and regulatory reporting
- Working knowledge of digital FM tools, CMMS, and technical reporting systems
- Strong problem-solving skills with ability to diagnose technical issues and implement effective solutions
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Team leadership skills with capability to coordinate cross-functional teams and vendors
- Tertiary qualifications in building management, facility management, or business management preferred
- Certifications in safety, fire safety, or facility management are advantageous
