Position Title: Special Educator
Location: Sector – 40 Noida, India
Reporting To: Head – SEN Department
Working days: Mon- Fri
Work Timings – 7.45 am to 2.00 pm, Stay back on Friday till 4.00pm
Position Summary
The Special Educator will assess and support students with diverse learning needs. The role involves working collaboratively with teachers, parents, and school counsellors to develop individualized learning strategies that enable students to achieve their academic and social-emotional potential in an inclusive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess students requiring additional learning support through observations, assessments, and referrals.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and monitor student progress.
- Provide one-on-one and small-group interventions for students with learning difficulties and special educational needs.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to adapt lesson plans, teaching methodologies, and assessments.
- Maintain detailed student records, progress reports, and documentation.
- Conduct parent meetings to discuss student progress and suggest home support strategies.
- Coordinate with school counsellors, psychologists, therapists, and external professionals, where required.
- Ensure compliance with CBSE guidelines and inclusive education policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Special Education / B.Ed. (Special Education) or equivalent qualification recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).
- Certification or experience in inclusive education, learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, or related areas will be an advantage.
Experience
- 1–3 years of experience as a Special Educator or Learning Support Teacher is preferred.

- Strong understanding of learning disabilities and inclusive education practices.
- Excellent observation, assessment, and intervention planning skills.
- Effective communication and counselling skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong documentation and report-writing skills.
