Job Summary
We are looking for a System Hardware Technician to support and maintain computer systems, networking devices, and internet connectivity infrastructure. The candidate will assist with hardware troubleshooting, system setup, preventive maintenance, and IT asset management to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and configure desktop computers, laptops, printers, routers, switches, and Wi-Fi devices
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and basic network connectivity issues
- Perform operating system installation, driver updates, and routine system maintenance
- Diagnose and replace faulty hardware components when required
- Configure and support internet devices such as modems and fiber network equipment
- Maintain proper cable management and workstation setup
- Assist in IT asset tracking, inventory maintenance, and hardware audits
- Maintain records of installations, repairs, and service activities
- Coordinate with vendors for hardware servicing and warranty support
- Support internal technical teams during network installation and maintenance activities
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field
- Basic understanding of computer hardware and networking concepts
- Familiarity with LAN/WAN networking, routers, and switches
- Ability to troubleshoot desktop and network-related issues
- Good communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Internship or experience in IT support, networking, or ISP environments
- Familiarity with ticketing systems or IT asset management tools
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+ or CCNA are an advantage
