Job Title: Heavy Vehicle DriverJob Summary
We are looking for an experienced and reliable Heavy Vehicle Driver to transport catering materials, food items, kitchen equipment, staff, and event supplies safely and on time. The candidate should have strong driving skills, knowledge of routes, and experience handling heavy vehicles for catering, logistics, or commercial operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive heavy vehicles for transportation of food, groceries, catering equipment, furniture, utensils, and event materials
- Ensure timely pickup and delivery of materials to event venues, warehouses, kitchens, and clubhouses
- Load and unload goods safely with support from helpers and staff
- Inspect vehicles before and after trips to ensure proper working condition
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness, fuel levels, tyre pressure, and service schedules
- Follow all traffic rules, safety guidelines, and company transportation procedures
- Maintain trip sheets, fuel records, toll receipts, and delivery documentation
- Coordinate with operations team regarding delivery schedules and event requirements
- Report vehicle breakdowns, accidents, damages, or maintenance issues immediately
- Ensure safe handling of fragile catering items, crockery, kitchen equipment, and event décor materials
- Assist with transportation planning during weddings, banquets, and large-scale functions
- Support emergency deliveries and last-minute event logistics when required
Requirements
- Valid heavy vehicle driving license
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience driving commercial or heavy vehicles
- Experience in catering, logistics, warehouse, or event transportation preferred
- Good knowledge of city routes, highways, and local travel regulations
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Clean driving record with strong focus on safety and punctuality
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
