About the Role :
Fitistan is looking for a highly skilled Shopify Expert to lead the development, customisation, and optimisation of our e-commerce presence. You won’t just be installing themes; you’ll be building bespoke shopping experiences, optimising site performance, and integrating complex third-party applications to drive growth.
The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of the Shopify ecosystem, a passion for UX/UI, and the technical prowess to handle Liquid, APIs, and headless commerce trends.

Fitistan collaborates with Indian Armed Forces to connect with online and offline campaigns, creating a community of health & fitness individuals and offering online fitness challenges, offline events, corporate wellness programs, sports & fitness Digi Locker, and a health & fitness video library.
Key Responsibilities
- Custom Theme Development: Build, customise, and maintain highly responsive Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML5, CSS3 (Sass), and JavaScript.
- App Integration & Development: Install and configure third-party apps; develop custom private apps using Shopify APIs when off-the-shelf solutions don't cut it.
- Performance Optimisation: Improve Core Web Vitals, reduce load times, and ensure a seamless mobile-first experience.
- Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO): Implement A/B testing results and UI enhancements to drive sales and reduce cart abandonment.
- Store Migration: Assist in migrating data (products, customers, orders) from other platforms (Magento, WooCommerce, etc.) to Shopify.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Debugging layout issues and backend conflicts across different browsers and devices.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Shopify Mastery: 2+ years of experience specifically focused on the Shopify platform (Plus experience is a major bonus).
- Technical Stack: Proficiency in Liquid, JavaScript (Vanilla, Vue, or React), and CSS frameworks.
- API Knowledge: Solid understanding of Shopify’s Admin API, Storefront API, and Webhooks.
- Design Eye: Experience working with Figma or Adobe XD to translate high-fidelity designs into pixel-perfect code.
- E-commerce Strategy: Understanding of SEO best practices, analytics (GA4), and digital marketing integration.
- Portfolio: A strong portfolio of live Shopify stores that you have built or significantly customised.
