Job Summary:
Mercure Home is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Carpenter to join our interior and furniture design team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for crafting, assembling, installing, and repairing wooden furniture and interior elements, ensuring high-quality workmanship aligned with design specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret design drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and other materials.
- Manufacture and install furniture such as wardrobes, cabinets, modular units, and custom interior pieces.
- Work closely with designers and project teams to ensure accurate execution.
- Perform finishing tasks including sanding, polishing, laminating, and veneer work.
- Inspect completed work for quality and precision.
- Repair and maintain existing furniture when required.
- Follow safety standards and maintain tools and equipment properly.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Carpenter in interior design or furniture manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of woodworking tools, materials, and techniques.
- Ability to read technical drawings and layouts.
- Good understanding of modular furniture and interior fit-outs.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Physical stamina and ability to handle tools and machinery.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in modular kitchen or custom furniture work.
- Familiarity with modern furniture hardware and fittings.
Experience:
- 2–5 years of relevant experience preferred.
