About the Role
Morjim Consulting is seeking a skilled Proposal Writer to support the development of high-quality proposals, RFIs, RFQs, capability statements, and other business development documents for public and private sector opportunities.
The Proposal Writer will be responsible for creating compelling, compliant, and persuasive proposal content while collaborating with subject matter experts.
Key Responsibilities
Proposal Development
- Develop proposal responses based on solicitation requirements.
- Write executive summaries, technical approaches, management approaches, staffing plans, transition plans, and company qualifications sections.
- Tailor content to specific client requirements and evaluation criteria.
- Ensure responses are clear, persuasive, and customer-focused.
Content Management
- Research client requirements and gather information from internal stakeholders.
- Maintain and update proposal content libraries, boilerplate content, and reusable response materials.
- Review existing content and customize it for new opportunities.
- Create past performance write-ups
Compliance & Quality
- Analyze RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, and other procurement documents.
- Ensure proposal responses address all requirements and evaluation factors.
- Follow proposal outlines, compliance matrices, and submission instructions.
- Participate in internal proposal reviews and incorporate feedback.
Collaboration
- Work closely with proposal managers, capture specialists, and subject matter experts.
- Conduct interviews with internal teams to gather technical information.
- Support multiple proposal efforts simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Business, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Strong business writing and editing abilities.
- Ability to understand and simplify technical concepts.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently in a deadline-driven environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience writing proposals, bids, tenders, RFPs, RFQs, or RFIs.
- Experience supporting US Federal, State, Local Government, or Canadian public sector opportunities.
- Experience in IT Services, Staffing, GIS, Cybersecurity, Consulting, or Professional Services industries.
- Familiarity with proposal management processes and review cycles.
- Experience using Microsoft Word, SharePoint, and collaboration tools.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Number of proposal sections completed on time.
- Quality and accuracy of proposal content.
- Compliance with solicitation requirements.
- Timely incorporation of review comments.
- Contribution to proposal library development.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday
3:00 PM IST – 12:00 AM IST
Compensation
Compensation will be based on experience, proposal writing expertise, and demonstrated writing ability.
