Job Title: Dispatch Executive – FMCG
Department: Supply Chain / Logistics
Reports To: Dispatch Manager / Warehouse Manager
Job Summary
The Dispatch Executive is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate dispatch of finished goods to distributors, retailers, and customers. The role involves coordinating with warehouse, sales, transporters, and production teams while maintaining proper documentation and inventory accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute daily dispatch activities as per sales orders.
- Prepare and verify dispatch documents, including invoices, delivery challans, e-way bills, LR copies, and packing lists.
- Coordinate with transporters for vehicle placement and timely deliveries.
- Ensure correct quantity, batch number, and product quality before dispatch.
- Monitor loading activities and prevent shortages or product damage.
- Maintain FIFO/FEFO practices for FMCG products.
- Update dispatch details in ERP/SAP or inventory management systems.
- Track shipments and resolve delivery-related issues.
- Coordinate with Sales, Warehouse, Production, and Finance departments.
- Maintain dispatch registers, stock movement records, and daily dispatch reports.
- Ensure compliance with company SOPs, safety standards, and statutory requirements.
- Handle customer and transporter queries related to dispatch operations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Logistics, Supply Chain, or any relevant discipline.
- 2–5 years of experience in dispatch, warehouse, or logistics operations, preferably in the FMCG industry.
- Knowledge of dispatch documentation, GST invoicing, and e-way bill generation.
- Experience working with ERP/SAP systems.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
