- Base on the inputs received for marketing with regards to the new enquiry (RFQ) study following
- Understand Drawing & requirement of the customer & do feasibility of the same.
- Study the safety & critical requirements in drawings.
- Ask customers safety & critical requirements if not given in drawing
- Send feasibility report to customer.
- If drawing Tolerance is not acceptable, send feasibility report with require Tolerance to customer, discuss or visit customer for technical discussion to resolve additional tolerance.
- If drawing tolerance is acceptable, send feasibility report to customer.
- After customer approve feasibility & marketing gives go ahead for development, Make APQP, CP, FEMA & PFD & other documents as required.
- Plan Development activity, study any Gauges or tooling requirements, prepare the CP, FEMA, PFD with Production Dept & Senior Operator, make/procure gauges & tooling requirements if any with Tool Room. Also Explain to Production & Quality Dept. Safety & critical die mention. After above activity plan Development on machine. For Proto all these activities are not required.
- Drawing development of production on machine & process, study the variation on machine & process, accordantly do the needful.
- After development is done study with Quality Dept. If all OK send sample to customer, if not Ok study the reason & accordingly modify- feasibility, CP, FEMA, PFD & relevant documents if required, after due Corrective Action & discussion, preplan the sample production again. Escalate to Top management, in case of any delay in plan or rejection.
- After sample are send & approved by customer plan next activity of PPAP, PTR & relevant documents.
- Update APQP, PPAP & other documents as required.
- Handover to PPC after PPL lot is approved by customer drawing, handover given all necessary documents of PPC.
- To communicate, discuss, visit with customer to complete Development activity.
- After Handover when there is issue in any product, Development Dept. must study the issue when Production Dept.During the issue to Development Dept, Accordingly are studying the issue necessary action should be taken.
- Conduct Development meeting once a week.
