About the Role
We are looking for a driven and commercially aware Business Journalist to join our Travel Business publication under Asian Media Group. The role focuses on delivering high quality editorial content covering the global travel and tourism industry, including airlines, hospitality, tourism boards, and emerging travel trends.
As part of a fast paced editorial team, you will produce insightful, data driven stories for a B2B audience, including travel professionals, industry leaders, and decision-makers.
Key Responsibilities
- Research, write, and edit original articles on travel industry news, trends, and business developments
- Cover key sectors including hospitality, aviation, tourism, travel tech, and destination marketing
- Conduct interviews with industry stakeholders (CXOs, founders, tourism boards, etc.)
- Produce features, opinion pieces, and analysis for digital and print platforms
- Track global travel trends, including sustainability, luxury travel, and digital transformation
- Collaborate with editorial, design, and social media teams to optimise content reach
- Ensure all content meets editorial standards, deadlines, and SEO best practices
- Attend industry events, webinars, and conferences (as required)
Key Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in journalism (preferably business, travel, or trade media)
- Strong understanding of the travel and tourism industry, including global markets and trends
- Proven experience writing for digital platforms and/or magazines, ideally within B2B or trade publications
- Excellent interviewing, research, and storytelling skills with the ability to simplify complex industry insights
- Familiarity with SEO, analytics, and digital publishing tools
- Interest in emerging travel trends, technology, and consumer behaviour
- Established network within travel, hospitality, or related sectors is a plus
Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per year
