Role Summary We are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Manager to lead and manage the organization's Human Resources function. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing HR strategies, overseeing recruitment, performance management, employee engagement, statutory compliance, payroll, administration, and organizational development. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong execution capabilities who can build efficient HR systems while fostering a positive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning Lead end-to-end recruitment for all departments. Develop effective sourcing strategies and maintain a strong talent pipeline. Coordinate interviews, salary negotiations, offer rollouts, and onboarding. Collaborate with department heads to understand current and future manpower requirements.
HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle Manage the complete employee lifecycle from onboarding to exit. Maintain employee records, HR documentation, and personnel files. Ensure timely issuance of appointment letters, confirmations, transfers, promotions, and relieving documents. Conduct induction programs and ensure smooth employee integration.
Payroll & Compensation Supervise monthly payroll processing with complete accuracy. Manage attendance, leave records, overtime, reimbursements, and statutory deductions. Coordinate employee benefits and ensure timely salary disbursement.
Performance Management Design and implement performance appraisal systems. Coordinate goal setting, KRAs/KPIs, and performance review cycles. Support managers in performance improvement plans and employee development. Identify training needs and coordinate learning and development initiatives.
Employee Relations & Engagement Foster a healthy, collaborative, and employee-centric work culture. Handle employee grievances, disciplinary matters, and conflict resolution. Plan employee engagement activities, celebrations, recognition programs, and wellness initiatives. Conduct employee feedback and satisfaction surveys.
HR Compliance & Statutory Requirements Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws and statutory regulations. Oversee PF, ESIC, Professional Tax, TDS, Shops & Establishment compliance, and other statutory requirements. Maintain statutory registers, HR policies, and compliance documentation. Coordinate audits and inspections related to HR and labour compliance.
HR Policies & Process Improvement Develop, implement, and update HR policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Recommend process improvements to enhance HR efficiency and employee experience. Maintain confidentiality and ensure adherence to company policies.
Office Administration Supervise day-to-day administrative functions. Manage office infrastructure, housekeeping, security, travel arrangements, and office maintenance. Monitor office supplies and procurement requirements. Ensure a safe, organized, and productive workplace.
Vendor Management Coordinate with vendors for office maintenance, housekeeping, stationery, travel, and other administrative services. Negotiate contracts and monitor vendor performance. Ensure timely renewals and cost-effective procurement. HR Reporting & MIS Prepare monthly HR reports and dashboards. Track recruitment metrics, attrition, attendance, leave, payroll, and employee engagement data. Present HR insights and recommendations to management.
Qualifications & Skills Education MBA in Human Resources or a related discipline. Experience 5–8 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in an HR Manager or Senior HR role.
Technical Skills Proficiency in HRMS and payroll software. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Experience with recruitment portals and HR analytics is preferred. Knowledge Strong understanding of Indian labour laws and statutory compliance. Hands-on knowledge of PF, ESIC, Professional Tax, TDS, payroll processing, and HR documentation. Familiarity with performance management systems and HR best practices. Soft Skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong leadership and team management abilities. Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills. High level of integrity and confidentiality. Strong organizational and multitasking capabilities. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
