Electrical Maintenance
- Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance of electrical installations throughout the hospital.
- Install, inspect, repair, and maintain electrical wiring, switches, sockets, lighting fixtures, distribution boards, and control panels.
- Troubleshoot electrical faults and restore services promptly.
- Ensure uninterrupted electrical supply to all critical hospital areas.
- Monitor HT/LT panels, transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, and electrical distribution systems.
- Operate and maintain electrical control panels safely.
- Monitor electrical load and report abnormalities.
- Ensure proper earthing and electrical protection systems.
- Operate and maintain Diesel Generator (DG) sets.
- Ensure automatic changeover systems (AMF/ATS) function properly.
- Test emergency power supply systems periodically.
- Coordinate during power failures to restore electrical supply quickly.
- Monitor and maintain UPS systems serving OT, ICU, NICU, Cath Lab, Laboratory, Radiology, and server rooms.
- Coordinate with authorized service providers for major repairs and annual maintenance.
- Ensure uninterrupted power for life-support equipment.
- Attend electrical complaints from all hospital departments.
- Assist biomedical engineering team whenever electrical support is required.
- Replace defective electrical components.
- Maintain emergency lighting systems.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance as per maintenance calendar.
- Maintain maintenance records and checklists.
- Conduct routine inspection of electrical installations.
- Recommend replacement of worn-out electrical components.
- Follow electrical safety procedures and Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) practices.
- Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Ensure compliance with Electrical Safety Rules and hospital safety policies.
- Report unsafe electrical conditions immediately.
- Participate in fire safety and disaster management drills.
- Monitor electricity consumption.
- Identify opportunities for energy conservation.
- Ensure efficient operation of lighting and electrical equipment.
- Support implementation of energy-saving initiatives.
- Maintain daily maintenance logs.
- Record breakdowns and corrective actions.
- Update preventive maintenance schedules.
- Maintain inventory of electrical spare parts and consumables.
- Coordinate with biomedical, civil, HVAC, plumbing, and housekeeping teams.
- Supervise contractors performing electrical work.
- Assist during inspections, audits, and accreditation assessments.
- Support new electrical installations and renovation projects.
- Ensure compliance with NABH requirements related to engineering services.
- Adhere to the Indian Electricity Rules and applicable statutory regulations.
- Maintain required maintenance documentation for audits.
Essential:
- 'B' Licence (Electrical Supervisor's Licence) issued by the competent State Electrical Licensing Authority.
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience in hospitals, healthcare facilities, or large commercial buildings.
- Knowledge of HT/LT systems, DG sets, UPS, transformers, and hospital electrical infrastructure.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
