POSITION OVERVIEW
To handle all aspects of MHR Dept. and other HR tasks - like recruitment, planning and deployment of seafarers. FPM oversees MHR Dept. activities and staff ensuring compliance of established Company's policies.
ROLES ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Monitor Statistics and Analysis of Inactive / Promotion / PIP/ Medicals of Sea staff.
- Verify applicable wages, standby wages, other payments due and recovering monies in letter of assignment
- Take decisions for retention/ re-employment / promotion/ training/counseling and ship board follow up.
- Training - Emphasis on training of officers and crew on safety and pollution prevention and company‘s expectations from them on quality improvement. Assist Training Superintendent/ Coordinator, whenever required for co- ordination of officers / ratings to attend various mandatory, specialized courses and seminars.
- Follow up P&I claims of officers and ratings, for group of vessels assigned. Debriefing senior officers for evaluation of crew performance and record suggestions for Quality improvement where necessary.
- Keep abreast of current crew budgets /crew costs.
- Briefing of all officers/ratings joining vessels with AE policies and system.
- Audits- Provide technical / audit assistance as per requirement.
- Ethical Practice - Strive for utmost fairness , highest ethical and professional standards in dealing with Seastaff at all ranks
Requirements

Knowledge of shipboard systems and equipment, as well as the ability to operate and maintain them safely and efficiently.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
- Proven experience in a managerial role within the marine industry
- Comprehensive knowledge of maritime regulations and standards
Graduation/Degree in Maritime Studies, Business Administration or related field
