The Role: We are looking for a dynamic, data-driven, and customer-centric Head of E-commerce to spearhead our digital growth strategy. You will be responsible for the end-to-end performance of our online flagship store (powered by Shopify). Your goal is to translate our offline legacy of trust, quality, and personalization into a seamless, premium digital experience. You will lead traffic acquisition, conversion rate optimization, digital merchandising, and post-purchase retention, ensuring that our online presence reflects the same level of excellence as our physical showroom.
Key Responsibilities1. Strategic Growth & P&L Management
- Own the e-commerce P&L, setting ambitious targets for revenue growth and customer retention.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive digital roadmap to scale online sales across domestic and international markets.
- Analyze key performance metrics (conversion rates, average order value, cart abandonment) to identify friction points and implement data-backed solutions.
2. Digital Merchandising & Operations
- Oversee the product lifecycle on the website, from high-impact product launches and collection drops to inventory syncing.
- Ensure impeccable visual merchandising that showcases the intricate details of our craftsmanship (embroidery close-ups, fabric textures, styling videos).
- Collaborate with the design and production teams to manage "Made-to-Measure" and "Custom Color" workflows digitally, ensuring accurate lead times and customer expectations.
3. Marketing & Customer Acquisition
- Lead performance marketing initiatives across Meta (Facebook/Instagram) and luxury fashion affiliates.
- Drive our email and WhatsApp marketing strategy, utilizing segmentation to deliver personalized experiences to our loyal client base.
- Manage SEO strategies to capture high-intent traffic searching for premium Indian bridal couture and heritage textiles.
4. High-Touch Customer Experience
- Bridge the gap between digital and physical luxury. You will oversee the digital concierge service, ensuring online queries (WhatsApp/Email) receive prompt, knowledgeable, and empathetic responses.
- Refine the online sizing, fit guide, and consultation booking processes to reduce returns and build buyer confidence.
- Monitor customer feedback, reviews, and testimonials to continuously elevate the brand experience.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in e-commerce management, preferably within the luxury, fashion, or lifestyle D2C space.
- Platform Expertise: Deep hands-on experience with Shopify (or similar enterprise e-commerce platforms), including apps, API integrations, and backend management.
- Analytical Mindset: Proficiency in Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Meta Ads Manager, and conversion rate optimization (CRO) tools.
- Luxury Sensibility: A strong understanding of the luxury consumer journey. You understand that selling a ₹1,00,000+ lehenga online requires a different approach than fast fashion—built on trust, visual storytelling, and reassurance.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Ability to represent the brand voice authentically.
