The CT & MRI Technician is responsible for performing high-quality Computed Tomography (CT) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) examinations as prescribed by physicians. The technician ensures patient safety, proper equipment handling, image quality, radiation safety (for CT), and adherence to hospital protocols while providing compassionate patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform CT Scan and MRI examinations according to physician prescriptions and departmental protocols.
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and obtaining relevant medical history.
- Screen patients for MRI safety, including metallic implants, pacemakers, and contraindications.
- Position patients accurately to obtain optimal diagnostic images.
- Administer contrast media under the supervision of a Radiologist, following hospital policies.
- Monitor patients during imaging procedures and respond appropriately to emergencies.
- Ensure radiation protection measures are followed during CT procedures.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot CT & MRI equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and readiness of imaging rooms and equipment.
- Verify patient identity and ensure correct imaging requests before scanning.
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation in PACS/RIS/HIS.
- Assist Radiologists in specialized imaging procedures when required.
- Follow infection prevention and control protocols.
- Report equipment malfunctions to the Biomedical Engineering Department.
- Ensure confidentiality of patient information in accordance with hospital policies.
- Participate in departmental quality assurance and accreditation activities (NABH/NMC or other applicable standards).
Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
